This is an intriguing sci-fi adventure. I particularly liked the author's writing voice, a crisp, first-person narrative that held my interest. The setting and characters are fleshed out and believable, which is vitally important to me when reading books in this genre. The Changing is full of wonderful, accurate description of Alaska, which I particularly enjoyed. I also loved the romantic element, since I'm a sucker for romance in my fantasy!Product details

The Changing is a great read, At first you are not sure where things are going but the story develops into a multi faceted diamond with potential for a series of books much like the trilogy. Those of us that have read it are now waiting for the next sequel. This is the second book by Leanette Tarplay that I have read and it just keeps getting better!
Hated the end did not like it at all not at all never have left a review on a book before but my immense dislike of the end made me feel the need to send this
While The Changing starts out slow and takes it's time to develop the characters, it gets fleshed out as the story progresses. While not on the same level as Necromancer or Lord of the Rings, the Changing is still eminently readable and with a non-convoluted plot, easy to follow. It is a good pillow book, a story to read and perchance to dream about....
I believe the author's first attempt at the genre is merely indicative of things to come, and any who would like to curl up with a nice readable book, will enjoy this tale.
